What makes someone a dry texter?
A dry texter answers without adding anything. The reply is technically a reply, but it gives you nothing to answer back. The test scores the four habits behind that feeling:
- Tiny replies. Most texts are 1 to 3 words.
- Dead-end words. "lol", "ok", "nice", "same", "cool".
- No questions back. Or only a lazy "wbu".
- No energy. No emojis, jokes or reactions to what you said.

Dry texter or not interested?
A high score does not always mean they are not into you. Lots of people are dry over text and great in person. Look at what they do, not only how they type:
- Probably just a dry texter: they reply fairly fast, say yes to plans, or text first now and then.
- Probably not interested: you always start the chat, they never ask about you, and plans keep "not working out".
- Best test: suggest a call or a specific plan. Interest shows up in the answer, not in word count.

What is a dry texter?
A dry texter replies with short, flat messages like "lol", "ok" or "nice", rarely asks questions back and adds nothing new, so the other person has to keep the conversation alive.
How does the Dry Texter Test work?
It looks at four things in their messages: how many words each text has, how many are dead-end replies, how often they ask a question back and how much energy (emojis, exclamation marks, jokes) they show. It combines them into a dryness score from 0 (juicy) to 100 (bone dry).
Is a dry texter not interested?
Not always. Some people are just bad at texting and great in person. The signs that it is interest, not style: they never start conversations, never ask you anything, take hours to reply but are active elsewhere, and dodge plans. If they say yes to meeting up, it is probably just their texting style.
Am I a dry texter?
